I did this painting during a Plein air outing.  Although there were buildings from our Lake Zurich downtown behind it, I put a more impressionistic background in, continuing the colors in the focal point.  This is my "Hello!" for Paint Party Friday.

  18. Beautiful painting! Peonies are one of my favourite flowers, there's just something so delicate about them. I like the dramatic shadows as well. I admire you being able to paint en plein air. I would love to be good enough one day to do this.
