This is my weekly challenge entry for Laura the Diva's prompt of"Home". http://iamthedivaczt.blogspot.com/ I live in Illinois about 40 miles out from Chicago which sits on the Western side of Lake Michigan. I depicted Lake Michigan in my tangle in blue. I love the Midwest with it's corn fields and natural Prairie flowers such as the Coneflower, pictured here. We have beautiful sunsets and good soil as one of the country's " bread basket" states. I am inserting pictures of the city of Chicago on lake Michigan, and a typical cornfield.
The photos are fantastic and the challenge piece captures the spirit of fields in its design and coloring. I too love the fields of the Midwest, they are amazing. The way you interpreted them into a tangle is spot on!
ReplyDeleteVery nice tile! Like the way you made the flower.

I really like how you have used the tangles in this. Nice!
ReplyDeleteThanks for including the photos. Your challenge piece depicts your verbal description very well. Love the cone flower.
ReplyDeleteA very unique and very nice tangle.
ReplyDeleteI'm from Chicago originally and was born in Dixon. So both these photos make me nostalgic.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous ZIA! Love how you depicted corn, Lake Michigan and coneflowers. Beautiful colors. Wasn't this a fun challenge? I'm not a city person, but your pic of Chicago is truly beautiful!
