Gloria J Zucaro's "Plump & Juicy"

6" Square Original Oil on Raymar Canvas Panel
SOLD

Why do painters love pears?!
I am no exception.  They are so interesting in shape and a multitude of colors, too!
In this painting I used transparent colors for the block in, and tried a more impressionistic layer of color over that.  I love the way it turned out!  I used a flat bristle brush  for the whole painting.
This is my entry for this weeks Paint Party Friday.  Happy PPF! go see everyone's art work at

  4. This is lovely. At first glance (I am a little tired lol) I thought I was looking at a woman sitting down, the stem being her hair, and I like it even more for having a mysterious quality like that.

  7. LOVE this color palette, seriously YUMMY =)
I think we artists love them because like us they are artsy, un-perfectly perfect - simple and different...
much better than those apple's and banana's!

Love that you include a spectrum of color and brushstrokes within a simple pear without overpowering it whatsoever.
