Gloria J Zucaro's "Torn Apart with Dina Wakley"

Yesterday, January 21, our CJS 2017 class was with Dina Wakley.  We talked of mark making and then combining marks in a very contemporary way with a line drawing of a face.  We tore the face apart!  Then added our marks and glued it all back together.  I put mine
on the background of an old abstract than I hadn't used for anything else.  I didn't get a good photo of it together so cropped down to the project only.

    I was trying to figure out how you managed to get each piece of the face to match so perfectly in that position. Another one unless you knew the process it would be hard to guess yet it makes so much sense! Just goes to show how much our eye can trick us into thinking something completely different when we don't know! This is fabulous...very very inspiring!!

      Hi there! You paint the face all in one piece first then tear it in half and add the other stuff.

    Love this Gloria! Very creative! To answer your question on my blog about Society6: yep, that'll be about right! It's only on the prints that you get to decide for yourself how much royalties you'll get, the other products are all fixed royalties. Here's a link to the help-page where you can see how much you'll earn when you sell something: https://help.society6.com/hc/en-us/articles/227119388. It's not much, but then again you don't have to do anything for it, just upload your image. But I doubt many artists on there get rich ... ;-S
