Limited Palette

Good Morning!  I am all fixed up with two new knees(and in 2014, two new shoulders!).  I should be good to go for quite awhile now.

I haven't posted for many months. But wanted to show you one photo of my backyard after our Halloween snow yesterday.
I also have a mixed media painting that I finished recently called "Just Passing Through."

Gloria J Zucaro's "Snow Queens Four"

Hello!, Happy Mother's Day to all.  I just finished a mixed media piece that I really enjoyed making.  I did a lot of collage , paint, and scribbling underneath the portraits of my snow queens.  After they were dry I used a stencil and modeling paste to create the dimensional snowflakes around the fur of their hoods.

Thankfully most of our Winter has disappeared into blooming Spring flowers and the Robins return!  Have a good week, and thank you for visiting! :>)

This weeks Daily Paintworks Challenge is to paint your undies!  Well this is all I am willing to reveal! These are my favorite staying at home attire during cool/cold weather, and I wear the tops under many of my nicer sweaters and tops during the winter.  These are my North Face thermal underwear tops and bottoms.  So I thought I would put them up in the snowy mountains.  They are still wet after the strenuous climb!

I did this painting from my reference photo of a farmstead in McHenry, IL.  There was a little snow on the ground and the stormy sky suggested that we might get more.  This was also done the third day of the Dreama Tolle Perry workshop, and I blocked in with the transparent oils.  I am really enjoying the wonderful mix of colors you get with them under the more opaque paints. I love the truck in this photo and the sunshine and shadow mood.
